Frequently asked questions
Where does this data come from? Are you accessing my store?
Everything comes from information your store makes publicly visible: page source, public product endpoints (Shopify's /products.json is an official open endpoint), and HTTP response headers. The process is no different from any visitor opening your store in a browser. There is no login, no bypass, and no access to order or customer data.
Will this put load on my server?
A single audit makes at most 4 requests, with deliberate delays between them — less total traffic than one real person browsing your homepage. We never poll frequently or fan out concurrent requests.
How accurate are the results?
Platform detection is definitive when it matches a response header. App detection uses script fingerprints and is one-directional: a match means installed, but no match does not mean absent, since many tools only load on product or checkout pages. If your site is client-rendered we explicitly say "could not verify" rather than asserting anything is missing.
Why do some items say "could not verify"?
Because your site renders its content in the browser, so third-party scripts are injected only after the page loads. A static fetch cannot see them. In that case we would rather flag uncertainty than give you a conclusion that might be wrong.
Which platforms are supported?
Detection covers 25+ platforms: Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, PrestaShop, OpenCart, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, plus SHOPLINE, Shoplazza, SHOPYY, Ueeshop and XShoppy. Shopify and WooCommerce expose public product endpoints, so those get full catalog analysis.
Do you store my store's data?
We keep a snapshot of each audit to improve detection accuracy and track platform trends. Those snapshots hold technical information only — platform, theme, detected apps, catalog statistics. No order, customer or admin data, which we could not access in the first place.
Can I fix these issues myself?
Most of them, yes. SEO tags, social share images, image alt text and security headers are configuration changes that usually take minutes to an hour by following the suggestions. Theme upgrades and performance work involve code — reach out if you would rather not touch that yourself.
Is this tool free?
Single-store audits are free, with no usage limit and no signup required.
